This month’s IGN First is Control Resonant, and we’ve an exciting look at new gameplay to show you. A follow-up to the 2019 original, Remedy Entertainment’s sequel places you in the shoes of Dylan Faden on his mission to rid a warped Manhattan of the paranatural threats corrupting it. To do so, he’ll need to develop his skills and discover new abilities. This is where today’s exclusive mission gameplay comes into things.
The Metro Fault is one of several “Faults” found around this alternate New York. They are essentially dungeons, and you’ll have to make your way through them in order to acquire the new traversal skill waiting at the end — in this case, Reach, Resonant’s equivalent of a grappling hook. First, though, you’ll have to go deep underground, dodge trains flying at you from all angles, and fight off fungal Mold foes.
